About the Speaker:
More
than 5 years of working experience in Sports and Musculoskeletal
physiotherapy practices, Ms Yeo has been a full-time physiotherapist for
Football Association of Singapore (National Sports Association) since
February 2004. She works and travels extensively with National
‘A’ Team and National U23 team on both local and international
matches, tournaments, and training camps.
Her
job scope with FAS includes managing injuries of elite football players (both
men & women) of all age groups, including National Teams and footballers
from professional clubs. Experienced in diagnosing and treating soccer
injuries, she does the planning and improvise rehabilitation programs for
injured football players with the main focus on safe return to play and
prevention of re-injuries and new injuries.
Ms
Yeo is currently a member of Sports Medicine Association of Singapore. She
conducts lectures and workshops for football coaching and referee course.
These include football injury management and prevention and other related
sports science topics.

What is
Sports Science?
Sport Science is a multi-disciplinary field concerned with the
understanding and enhancement of human performance. It includes the
knowledge, methods and applications of sub-disciplines of human movement
studies (i.e., exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control and motor
development, exercise and sport psychology) as well as how they interact.
